The Edgemont is built around a simple idea: the best room in the house shouldn't require a trip upstairs to reach it. Build it as shown — or customize to fit your lifestyle.

Most homes treat the primary suite as a destination — something you climb to at the end of the day. The Edgemont inverts that logic entirely. The main-floor suite sits apart from the rest of the living spaces, quiet and generous, with the kind of separation that makes a house feel like two homes in one. The courtyard side-load garage disappears the cars from the street, leaving a facade that reads as pure craftsman architecture — gabled, detailed, and unhurried. This is a home that earns attention for the right reasons.

What you saw on Zillow wasn't a development — it was a plan. The Edgemont isn't anchored to any single address or neighborhood. It's designed to be built on your lot, wherever that is across the DC metro. Paramount also evaluates hundreds of properties for potential acquisition — lots, teardowns, and aging homes that may never surface through a traditional search. There are two ways to get here: bring us your land, or tell us where you want to build.

Why the Edgemont
  • First-floor primary suite — ideal for aging in place, hosting a parent long-term, or simply never sharing a floor with the rest of the household
  • Courtyard side-load garage keeps vehicles out of the sightline, so the street view is all architecture, no asphalt
  • Arts & Crafts detailing — gabled rooflines, craftsman trim, and a material palette that improves with age rather than dating itself
  • Main-floor living flow that works for empty nesters downsizing their stairs and growing families who need a private retreat within the home
  • In-house architectural team means the plan adapts — adjust the layout, expand the footprint, or modify the exterior to suit your lot and your vision

How New Home Pricing Works

This price is based on our Protos Specifications and includes an estimated land allowance. Your actual investment depends on the lot — yours or one we've identified — along with site conditions, home size, and finishes.

Build it exactly as shown or change every detail — the strategy call is where we put real numbers together based on your priorities.

Here's how the process works. It's three distinct phases, each with a purpose:

Phase 1

Design & Selections

This is where your home takes shape. Plans are created or modified by our in-house architects. You choose finishes, fixtures, and layout — or let our design team handle it for you.

Phase 2

Permitting

We submit your plans and manage the approval process with your local jurisdiction. This phase runs in the background while final details are locked in.

Phase 3

Construction

Your home is built. Every decision has already been made, and the build moves with purpose. Most homes are completed within 15 to 18 months from lot selection to move-in, though timelines can vary based on design complexity, client selections and decision-making, and local permitting.

Whether you want to choose every tile and finish yourself or let Paramount's design team handle the selections for you, we match the process to how you want to build.
