Lumen wears its light like architecture — clean lines, calm proportions, and a façade that glows instead of announcing itself. It's the kind of home that feels effortless the moment you step inside. Build it as shown — or customize to fit your lifestyle.

Lumen is designed around the way daylight moves through a home. Deep modern proportions and generous glazing carry light across open rooms from morning to dusk, so the space feels brighter, calmer, and larger than its footprint suggests. Even the arrival is intentional — the garage tucks behind a sideload courtyard entry, so what greets you is all geometry and glow, never a row of panel doors. You don't just live in Lumen. You watch the light shift around you all day.

The address you saw on Zillow is simply where the listing was anchored — Lumen isn't part of a development, and it isn't tied to any single lot or neighborhood. This plan can be built two ways: on your own lot, or on a property Paramount has identified across the DC metro. We're an active builder that does our own acquisitions research, evaluating hundreds of lots, teardowns, and aging homes throughout the region for potential acquisition. So you're not buying someone else's house — you're building yours, exactly where you want it. Tell us where you want to build.

Why the Lumen
  • A sideload courtyard entry hides the garage doors entirely, so you come home to clean architecture and glowing geometry — never a wall of panels.
  • Expansive glazing pulls natural light deep into the main level, so even ordinary mornings feel bright, open, and unhurried — and the home reads larger than its square footage.
  • An open, connected main floor flows from kitchen to dining to gathering space — perfect for hosting a dinner party or keeping dinner and homework in the same conversation.
  • Indoor-outdoor flow makes warm evenings effortless — entertaining spills from the main level out to the yard without missing a beat.
  • Designed and built from the ground up by Paramount's in-house architects, so every line, sightline, and finish can flex to fit the way you actually live.

How New Home Pricing Works

This price is based on our Protos Specifications and includes an estimated land allowance. Your actual investment depends on the lot — yours or one we've identified — along with site conditions, home size, and finishes.

Build it exactly as shown or change every detail — the strategy call is where we put real numbers together based on your priorities.

Here's how the process works. It's three distinct phases, each with a purpose:

Phase 1

Design & Selections

This is where your home takes shape. Plans are created or modified by our in-house architects. You choose finishes, fixtures, and layout — or let our design team handle it for you.

Phase 2

Permitting

We submit your plans and manage the approval process with your local jurisdiction. This phase runs in the background while final details are locked in.

Phase 3

Construction

Your home is built. Every decision has already been made, and the build moves with purpose. Most homes are completed within 15 to 18 months from lot selection to move-in, though timelines can vary based on design complexity, client selections and decision-making, and local permitting.

Whether you want to choose every tile and finish yourself or let Paramount's design team handle the selections for you, we match the process to how you want to build.
