The Volta is designed around the idea that the best rooms aren't always inside the walls. The main level opens from kitchen through living and dining straight into a screened porch and flagstone patio — so entertaining moves from counter to open air without anyone missing the conversation. On the third floor, a private loft with city views gives you a guest suite, home office, or retreat that lives completely apart from the rest of the house.

This plan isn't tied to the address you saw on Zillow — that's just where the listing is anchored. The Volta can be built on your lot or on a property Paramount has identified for potential acquisition, anywhere across the DC metro. Paramount evaluates hundreds of lots, teardowns, and aging homes across the DC metro for potential acquisition — and our in-house architects handle the site-specific modifications. Tell us where you want to build.

Why the Volta Model
  • Painted brick exterior delivers high-impact curb presence on narrow city and infill lots — low maintenance and an architecture that ages into its neighborhood instead of fading from it
  • Third-floor loft with city views for a home office, guest suite, or private retreat — completely separated from the main living floors
  • Screened porch and flagstone patio extend the entertaining space through three seasons without adding to the home's footprint
  • Optional four-stop elevator connects every level for true aging-in-place flexibility — this home works for decades, not just the years when stairs are easy
  • Lower level with wet bar, exercise room, and finished living space for hosting, a home gym, or a full in-law suite with its own purpose

How New Home Pricing Works

The price you see includes an estimated land allowance. Your actual investment depends on the lot — yours or one we've identified — along with site conditions, home size, and finishes.

Build it exactly as shown or change every detail — the strategy call is where we put real numbers together based on your priorities.

Here's how the process works. It's three distinct phases, each with a purpose:

Phase 1

Design & Selections

This is where your home takes shape. Plans are created or modified by our in-house architects. You choose finishes, fixtures, and layout — or let our design team handle it for you.

Phase 2

Permitting

We submit your plans and manage the approval process with your local jurisdiction. This phase runs in the background while final details are locked in.

Phase 3

Construction

Your home is built. Every decision has already been made, and the build moves with purpose. Most homes are completed within 15 to 18 months from lot selection to move-in, though timelines can vary based on design complexity, client selections and decision-making, and local permitting.

Whether you want to choose every tile and finish yourself or let Paramount's design team handle the selections for you, we match the process to how you want to build.
