There's a moment in the Durbin that happens every morning: light spilling across the main living spaces, slow and unhurried, turning an ordinary cup of coffee into something quieter and better. The Arts & Crafts soul of this home shows up in the details you actually touch — the warmth of honest materials, rooms scaled to feel gathered rather than grand. It's a home that rewards the way you really live, not the way a brochure says you should. You don't move through the Durbin so much as settle into it.

The address you saw on Zillow isn't a community — it's just where the listing landed. The Durbin isn't tied to one lot or one neighborhood. It's a plan you can build on your own property, or on one of the hundreds of lots, teardowns, and aging homes Paramount evaluates for potential acquisition across the DC metro. Most buyers spend months hunting for the right place to build; we're already looking. You're not buying someone else's house — you're building yours. Tell us where you want to build.

Why the Durbin
  • Light-filled main living spaces that turn ordinary mornings into the best part of the day — no overhead lights needed until evening.
  • Handcrafted Arts & Crafts detail throughout, from built-ins to trim work, giving the home character that mass-produced builders simply can't match.
  • Rooms scaled for real life — intentional and gathered, so the home feels warm and connected rather than echoing and oversized.
  • Finishes selected around your routines — the cook's kitchen, the quiet reading nook, the mudroom that actually holds your family's chaos — tailored to how you live, not a template.
  • A flexible footprint that adapts to your lot, whether you want to build the Durbin as shown, adjust the layout, or take it fully custom with our in-house architects.

How New Home Pricing Works

This price is based on our Protos Specifications and includes an estimated land allowance. Your actual investment depends on the lot — yours or one we've identified — along with site conditions, home size, and finishes.

Build it exactly as shown or change every detail — the strategy call is where we put real numbers together based on your priorities.

Here's how the process works. It's three distinct phases, each with a purpose:

Phase 1

Design & Selections

This is where your home takes shape. Plans are created or modified by our in-house architects. You choose finishes, fixtures, and layout — or let our design team handle it for you.

Phase 2

Permitting

We submit your plans and manage the approval process with your local jurisdiction. This phase runs in the background while final details are locked in.

Phase 3

Construction

Your home is built. Every decision has already been made, and the build moves with purpose. Most homes are completed within 15 to 18 months from lot selection to move-in, though timelines can vary based on design complexity, client selections and decision-making, and local permitting.

Whether you want to choose every tile and finish yourself or let Paramount's design team handle the selections for you, we match the process to how you want to build.
