The Stratley wears its craftsmanship on the outside and lives effortlessly on the inside — honest materials, clean lines, and light that follows you from morning coffee to evening quiet. Build it as shown — or customize to fit your lot and your lifestyle.

Step inside the Stratley and the first thing you notice is the light — it moves through the open main level all day, shifting with the hours and changing the mood of every room. The spaces are designed to do two things at once: gather everyone together when you want connection, and breathe when you need calm. It's a home that feels warm before you've added a single piece of furniture, because the craftsmanship is built into the bones, not bolted on at the end.

The address you saw on Zillow isn't a community or a lot you're locked into — it's simply where the listing gets anchored. The Stratley is a plan, which means it can be built two ways: on a lot you already own, or on a property Paramount has identified across the DC metro. Paramount evaluates hundreds of properties throughout the region for potential acquisition — lots, teardowns, and aging homes — as part of how we do our work. You're not buying someone else's house. You're building yours. Tell us where you want to build.

Why the Stratley
  • Light-filled open main level that gathers the whole family for dinner — then quiets down into your favorite reading corner after they've gone to bed.
  • Warm, honest Arts & Crafts materials and clean lines that feel timeless instead of trendy — a home you won't want to renovate in ten years.
  • Finishes selected around your routines — the kitchen built for how you actually cook, the mudroom sized for how your family actually comes home.
  • Flexible spaces designed to grow with you — a home office today, a nursery or guest suite tomorrow, without tearing down a single wall.
  • Built from the ground up for your lot — the home oriented to capture the best light and views your specific site has to offer.

How New Home Pricing Works

The price you see includes an estimated land allowance. Your actual investment depends on the lot — yours or one we've identified — along with site conditions, home size, and finishes.

Build it exactly as shown or change every detail — the strategy call is where we put real numbers together based on your priorities.

Here's how the process works. It's three distinct phases, each with a purpose:

Phase 1

Design & Selections

This is where your home takes shape. Plans are created or modified by our in-house architects. You choose finishes, fixtures, and layout — or let our design team handle it for you.

Phase 2

Permitting

We submit your plans and manage the approval process with your local jurisdiction. This phase runs in the background while final details are locked in.

Phase 3

Construction

Your home is built. Every decision has already been made, and the build moves with purpose. Most homes are completed within 15 to 18 months from lot selection to move-in, though timelines can vary based on design complexity, client selections and decision-making, and local permitting.

Whether you want to choose every tile and finish yourself or let Paramount's design team handle the selections for you, we match the process to how you want to build.
