The Stoneford is proof you don't have to trade the city for the house — nearly 4,900 square feet of Transitional design, built to live large on a close-in lot. You're not buying someone else's house — you're building yours. Build it as shown — or customize to fit your lifestyle.

The Stoneford solves the problem every close-in buyer knows: staying in the city usually means settling for less house. This plan refuses the trade. Nearly 4,900 square feet of Transitional design lives on an urban footprint without ever feeling like it — five bedrooms deep, so a full house never feels crowded. And from the street, the double gabled elevation makes one thing clear before you reach the front door: this is not another builder box.

One thing the Zillow listing gets wrong: the Stoneford isn't part of a development, and it isn't tied to the address you clicked. That's simply where Zillow anchored the plan — this home can be built anywhere across the DC metro. There are two paths: build on your lot, or build on a property we've identified. Paramount evaluates hundreds of properties across the DC metro for potential acquisition — lots, teardowns, and aging homes we track through our own research. That research is why our buyers often end up building in places they didn't know were possible. Tell us where you want to build.

Why the Stoneford
  • An in-city plan engineered for urban lots — nearly 4,900 square feet where other builders tell you it won't fit
  • Five bedrooms means one becomes a dedicated office that isn't a converted closet
  • Five bedrooms, 4.5 baths — room for in-laws, a returning college kid, or long-term guests without anyone giving up their space
  • 4.5 baths: every morning runs on schedule, and dinner guests get a powder room instead of your family's bathroom
  • 4,885 square feet built for hosting — a full house of guests never feels like a crowd

How New Home Pricing Works

This price is based on our Protos Specifications and includes an estimated land allowance. Your actual investment depends on the lot — yours or one we've identified — along with site conditions, home size, and finishes.

Build it exactly as shown or change every detail — the strategy call is where we put real numbers together based on your priorities.

Here's how the process works. It's three distinct phases, each with a purpose:

Phase 1

Design & Selections

This is where your home takes shape. Plans are created or modified by our in-house architects. You choose finishes, fixtures, and layout — or let our design team handle it for you.

Phase 2

Permitting

We submit your plans and manage the approval process with your local jurisdiction. This phase runs in the background while final details are locked in.

Phase 3

Construction

Your home is built. Every decision has already been made, and the build moves with purpose. Most homes are completed within 15 to 18 months from lot selection to move-in, though timelines can vary based on design complexity, client selections and decision-making, and local permitting.

Whether you want to choose every tile and finish yourself or let Paramount's design team handle the selections for you, we match the process to how you want to build.
