Lyon Park Arlington

Lyon Park Arlington

Lyon Park offers peaceful, family friendly living in a neighbourhood that feels like a small town but is minutes away from the District. It is an example of one of the residential subdivisions that emerged in Arlington County after WWI to support the growing population heading to the nation’s capital.

The streets, which meander up and down hills, are dotted with single family homes ranging from wood bungalows to brick structures. There is a mix of styles, including Craftsman, Tudor Revival and Queen Anne. This is not a cookie cutter neighbourhood, it is a unique place with a strong sense of community. The Lyon Park Community Center is the heart of the area, offering a children’s play area, concerts, dance and exercise classes, community picnics and much more.

Living in Lyon Park is incredibly convenient – residents can walk to the Arlington Post Office, the Clarendon Metro Station, Trader Joe’s and several other amenities and businesses. It is also close to many great schools, including Washington-Lee High School, Long Branch Elementary and Thomas Jefferson Middle School.
